What does the Name” Canyon Rim Academy” mean?

Our County Headquarter is called “kobe”Kobe become known as “Akobo”

In Nuer Culture we have two types of food, the first one is called “Wal-wal” and the second is called “Kob”

Cooking preparation of Wal-wal,

The first thing is boiled water, then floor of grain after water boiled, it is good to eat mixed with milk, there is no constipation on it when usually used, and also because of water, it increased the small amount of floor become large food for whole family.

Cooking preparation of Kob.

It doesn’t need water is only floor of grain to be boiled, for that reason we called dry food, it does not delayed time as wal-wal, just a few minutes it will be ready to uses very tasteful for stew, oil, fishing soup & butter of cows, it is good food for special visitors(guest), if these components are not available prepared, it is not delicious, it will be  hard to chew and swallowed, so people enjoy wal-wal b/se it is easy to swallow but, without milk, Wal-wal is tasteless, with milk, is very good. When the head of family want kob he will order his wife by saying that” Kobe”the wife will prepare kob for her husband,

THUS THE NAME” KOBE’ becomes known as AKOBO mean IS ORDER from HEAD FAMILY who wants his wife to prepare KOB for him.
